HUTECH Countdown 2025: A journey of emotions welcoming the new year

On the evening of December 31, the campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) came alive with the spectacular music event HUTECH Countdown 2025, marking the end of a year filled with effort and welcoming a new year full of aspirations.
The event was held on a grand scale and attracted a large number of students
Organized by students from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and the Faculty of Marketing and International Business, HUTECH Countdown 2025 was like an emotional journey, guiding the audience through memorable moments. More than just a performance, it was a celebration of creativity and youthful energy. Each act was not only visually stunning but also carried a spirit of freedom, ambition, and the drive to break boundaries.

The performances reflected students’ passion for freedom and their desire to rise beyond limits
The show opened with nostalgic songs like “What Have You Done This Past Year” and “Timeline”, stirring reflections on the journey behind while sparking hope and excitement for the future. The dance crew SWEET STAR then ignited the stage with vibrant, high-energy moves. Singer My Ngoc captivated the crowd with a powerful mashup of “Wilted Petals” and “We Still Belong Together,” immersing everyone in deep emotion. Especially touching was the play “Family is Number One” by the Dom Dom group, which reminded the audience of the importance of love and family bonds.

Each performance carried meaningful messages, creating an emotionally charged atmosphere
As the clock counted down to midnight, the transition from 2024 to 2025 became the emotional climax of the night. Fireworks lit up the sky, accompanied by pulsating EDM music, creating an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. The entire HUTECH courtyard echoed with cheers, new year’s wishes, and heartfelt embraces, closing one chapter and stepping into a new journey with joy and anticipation.
