[Video] HUTECH Opens 2nd Graduate Program Intake of 2024: Embarking on a New Academic Journey

On December 21, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) solemnly held the Opening Ceremony for the 2nd intake of the 2024 Master's and Doctoral training programs, marking a new beginning in the academic journey of graduate students and doctoral candidates at the HUTECH academic community.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Vice President of HUTECH – extended his congratulations to the new graduate students and doctoral candidates for officially joining the HUTECH academic community. He emphasized the University’s commitment, along with its dedicated faculty, to enhancing the quality of education and supporting students in acquiring the essential knowledge and skills to achieve future success in their careers.

At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Minh – Deputy Chief of the Office – announced the admission decisions for the 2024 2nd intake of the Master's and Doctoral programs, and presented certificates of merit to the top-ranked doctoral candidates. In this intake, HUTECH welcomed a new cohort of graduate students and doctoral candidates. Notably, three outstanding new PhD candidates – Nguyen Tran Binh (Business Administration), Dinh Minh Hoa (Information Technology), and Pham Chi Dung (Electrical Engineering) – were honored by the University as valedictorians of the 2024 Doctoral Program (2nd intake).

HUTECH presents certificates of merit to two top-ranked doctoral candidates of the 2nd intake, 2024
HUTECH also awarded scholarships to 5 outstanding new graduate students. Specifically, Mr. Pham Tuan Ngoc — 1st Runner-up Mr. World — received a 100% full tuition scholarship; Mr. Vo Minh Toai — 1st Runner-up Mr. World Vietnam — received a 50% tuition scholarship; Mr. Truong Chi Dat — a top graduate with the highest entrance score — received a 50% alumni scholarship; Mr. Dang Minh Thuan and Mr. Tran Anh Duy — recognized for outstanding early graduation — received 40% alumni scholarships.

HUTECH also awarded scholarships to outstanding new master's students
At the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thai Van Nam – Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies – together with Dr. Le Ngo Ngoc Thu – Deputy Director – presented the Institute's organizational structure, academic plans, regulations, training programs, and expected learning outcomes for both doctoral and master's levels. In addition, Dr. Pham Tien Dong – Director of the Institute for Training Cooperation and Development, MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Duc – Deputy Director of the Center for IT, Foreign Languages, and Soft Skills, and Ms. Ho Thi Trieu – Representative of the HUTECH Library – introduced graduate students and doctoral candidates to foreign language requirements, certificates such as IELTS and TOEIC, and how to effectively access and utilize HUTECH’s library data systems.
