Students from HUTECH and Tokyo Healthcare University join Mid-Autumn Festival activities

On September 23, students from the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Laboratory Sciences at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Tokyo Healthcare University (Japan) gathered for a cultural exchange program held during Vietnam’s Mid-Autumn Festival.
Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management, expressed her delight that students from both countries could celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together in a cultural exchange setting
Dr. Yoshino Masayoshi, President of the Japan-Asia Medical Welfare Education Institute (JAMWEI), said the visit was especially memorable for the delegation as it coincided with Vietnam’s Mid-Autumn Festival
Prof. Ryoma Seto, Special Assistant to the President of Tokyo Healthcare University, thanked HUTECH for the warm welcome
As part of the program, HUTECH and Tokyo Healthcare University students joined a lantern-making activity. From bamboo frames and colorful cellophane to painted decorations, the activity created a lively atmosphere as each lantern gradually took shape.

More than just a holiday toy, the lantern symbolizes reunion and togetherness. The activity gave students a chance to experience, create, and better appreciate the cultural values of Vietnam.
Students from both universities also sang the song Doraemon together in Vietnamese and Japanese
The program concluded in a warm and meaningful atmosphere
Afterward, students from both universities performed the song Doraemon in both Vietnamese and Japanese. The performance created a shared experience that helped students interact, connect, and feel closer to one another, bringing the exchange to a friendly and memorable close.
