Winning First Prize with the topic “내가 꿈꾸는 강원대학교 유학생활” translated as My dream of studying at Kangwon National University, Y Thê, a first-year student, delivered a confident and emotionally rich presentation. Her performance impressed not only through strong language proficiency but also through the personal story she shared, which traced her Korean language journey back to a deep love for music.

Sharing her journey, Y Thê explained that her passion for the K pop group BTS during her high school years sparked a desire to understand the meaning behind the lyrics and the stories her idols conveyed. From simple questions like “What are they saying?”, she began learning Korean, gradually developing a strong affection for Korean culture and people. This growing passion eventually led her to choose Korean Language as her major at HUTECH, allowing her to continue nurturing her dreams in a structured academic environment.
