This annual event, organized by QS Quacquarelli Symonds (United Kingdom), gathered more than 1,500 higher education leaders, scholars, and experts from across the Asia Pacific region to exchange insights on trends, strategies, and innovative solutions for higher education in the digital era.

In the discussion session titled “How Universities Are Shaping ASEAN’s Tomorrow,” Dr. Ly Thien Trang, together with other international speakers, shared strategic perspectives on the growing role and influence of ASEAN universities on the global education map. This was clearly reflected in the QS Asia 2025 Report, which showed that an increasing number of universities in the region are rising in the rankings, affirming their outstanding capacity in research, internationalization, and innovation.
The discussion focused on key topics such as innovations shaping ASEAN higher education, how universities are preparing students with future skills and employability, the role of universities in linking with industries and nurturing job creators, international cooperation as a key to sustainable development and deeper integration, common strengths of the ASEAN region, and areas for further enhancement.

According to the QS Asia 2025 Report, the ASEAN region is emerging as a global education innovation hub, where universities are advancing in AI, digital transformation, sustainable development, and international competitiveness, while actively contributing to shaping policies and ecosystems for a high-quality future workforce.
Representing Vietnam at the summit, Dr. Ly Thien Trang shared HUTECH’s practices and initiatives. The University ranks 287th among the best universities in Asia and 6th in Vietnam according to the QS Asia University Rankings 2025. HUTECH has been developing a strategic direction centered on “AI, Digital Transformation, Sustainable Development, and Quality Culture,” aiming to nurture global citizens, build a creative learning ecosystem, and shape a dynamic, sustainable ASEAN future.
