Hutech team hold fourth place in the " Solar Car Racing 2011" competition

The competition had attracted the participation of more than 40 teams from 9 universities and 23 enterprises. The final took place on the morning of December 1st, 2011 in the QK 7 indoor stadium.
HUTECH team is in the final (yellow color)
The final had 2 groups. Group A included HUTECH (Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology), SPO (Vu Phong Company, Binh Duong), GREEN CAR (University of Transport) and VIET EMPIRE (Viet Empire casting Company). Group B included NANO No 1 (University of Technical Education), SHTP – LABS (Sai Gon High-Tech Park), SOLAR VEHICLE (University of Transport) và SPVN (Vu Phong Company, Binh Duong).
The competition between HUTECH and SPO
All teams in the same time started travel with distance of 2.4 km (6 stadiums rounds).

In the final round, unfortunately, HUTECH team took 4th place and won prize with 4 million VND.

The encouragement from Hutech leaders
The competition was also a good chance for students to demonstrate their creativity and to get involved in energy saving strategies. The competition proved that solar powered vehicles were feasible, practical and affordable.
