Clarivate Analytics shares solutions to enhance HUTECH's global standing

On October 16, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with Clarivate Analytics to explore strategies for improving education and research quality while discussing solutions to enhance HUTECH’s global standing.
The meeting aimed to discuss solutions to help HUTECH enhance its position on the global education map
Mr. Lee Inn Beng, Strategic Solutions Director at Clarivate, shared insights during the session on developing long-term strategies and boosting HUTECH's international rankings. He highlighted common characteristics of world-class universities and recommended a "data-driven approach" for HUTECH to track progress and evaluate performance using KPI metrics.

Clarivate also presented a range of tailored solutions for the university, focusing on identifying and strengthening academic partnerships with international institutions and researchers, increasing research impact with current collaborators, and assessing research performance based not just on publication volume, but also on quality, trends, and collaborative networks.

Additionally, Clarivate showcased support tools such as Web of Science and Incites Benchmarking, which provide HUTECH with access to global databases, facilitate reference searches, evaluate international publication performance, and benchmark research capacity against other educational institutions worldwide. These solutions help the university optimize its international publications while enhancing resource management and tracking capabilities.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue deepening their collaboration in the future
Both sides committed to deepening their collaboration moving forward, with the partnership between HUTECH and Clarivate expected to drive significant advancements in research quality, education, and notably, in enhancing HUTECH's global academic standing.
Representing HUTECH at the meeting were Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh, Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Viet, Head of the Department of Science and Technology, along with representatives from the Library and the Center for Accreditation and Quality Assurance. Clarivate was represented by Christian Chico, Account Manager for SEA (Government & Academia), See Diu Seng, Segment Sales Manager, Law Yen Li, Digital Sales Manager (Greater China), and Dr. Ahmed Bourghida, Research Analytics, Academic & Government.
