A working session and discussions between the delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) on February 25 introduced new strategies to drive digital technology development.

Opening the session, Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc, President of HUTECH and a founding member of HCMC C4IR, expressed deep gratitude to city leaders and partner organizations for their continuous support in fostering HUTECH’s growth. He also discussed the opportunities and challenges of educational innovation in the digital era, emphasizing the importance of internationally standardized technology and artificial intelligence training.

With a focus on collaboration and expanding science and technology applications through education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Văn Việt, Head of the Science and Technology Office at HUTECH, presented the plans and progress for organizing two major international conferences:
Beyond these efforts, HUTECH is actively engaged in key initiatives to enhance research and high-quality workforce training. This includes contributing to HCMC C4IR’s first digital publication, training top-tier engineers in artificial intelligence and semiconductor technology, and collaborating with Sovico Group on smart manufacturing, digital transformation, and digitization. These initiatives reaffirm HUTECH’s leading role in developing a highly skilled workforce to meet evolving societal demands.

Speaking at the session, Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Chairman of HCMC C4IR’s Management Board, praised HUTECH’s educational strategies in meeting business demands. He urged the university to focus on green technology research, leveraging its strategic location in the high-tech zone. He emphasized that HUTECH should lead in technological advancements, integrate AI effectively, and strengthen its role as a trusted partner for businesses and the government.
