HUTECH and UEF strengthen educational collaboration with 9 leading Indian universities

From October 7 to 12, the delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and the University of Economics and Finance (UEF) visited the Republic of India, opening up many new opportunities for cooperation in education, research, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
The delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice President of HUTECH, together with representatives from UEF’s leadership. During the visit, the delegation signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with 9 leading Indian universities and participated in various meetings, professional exchanges, and visits to the training and research facilities of partner institutions.
The MoU signing ceremony was held with the presence of Mrs. Anandiben Patel, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, along with leaders of the 9 Indian universities. The event marked an important milestone in promoting academic, research, and cultural collaboration between universities in Vietnam and India.

During the meetings, HUTECH and UEF together with the Indian universities discussed several practical directions for cooperation such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects in technology, engineering, cybersecurity, electronics, and drone technology. They also discussed developing short-term academic courses, cultural exchange activities, and international seminars to strengthen connections among students and lecturers from both countries.
The meetings created many development opportunities for students and faculty members of the universities
In addition to the signing ceremonies, the delegation also visited and worked directly with partner universities to learn about their training systems, laboratories, research centers, and modern university governance models in India. This provided HUTECH and UEF with valuable insights and experiences to apply in their ongoing efforts to improve and innovate education and research quality in Vietnam.
In addition to professional activities, the delegation experienced distinctive cultural activities
Along with academic engagements, the delegation also visited the Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram, a heritage site associated with the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, as well as Atah Pedestrian Bridge and other well-known landmarks in India. These experiences not only deepened their understanding of Indian history and culture but also helped strengthen the friendship and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and India.
