To bring Indian civilization closer to students and to expand international academic exchange opportunities, on November 12, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held the inauguration ceremony of the “India Corner” at the Einstein Library, Thu Duc Campus, with the presence of the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City.
The India Corner was established through a sponsorship valued at 1,300 USD from the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City. It includes a computer set, a printer, a computer desk, chairs, a bookshelf, and more than 100 books on Indian culture, history, philosophy, and education. This is a unique academic highlight that allows young people to access a rich collection of materials and gain deeper insights into Indian civilization with its thousands of years of tradition.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President, thanked the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City for supporting HUTECH in developing this cultural and academic space. She noted that the India Corner is not only a place to introduce India’s cultural values and knowledge. It also serves as a link that creates new opportunities for cooperation between the University and Indian universities, organizations, and enterprises in education, research, and cultural exchange.

He affirmed that this space will help young people gain deeper access to Indian culture, history, and philosophy, inspiring learning, research, and creativity.

Right after the inauguration, students had the opportunity to interact with Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, a renowned scholar and author of more than 20 best-selling books on Chanakya philosophy, developed by the brilliant ancient Indian thinker. In the session titled “Ancient Wisdom and Modern Leadership: Lessons from Chanakya and the Art of Life Management in the 21st Century,” the speaker shared many lessons on leadership, self-discipline, strategic thinking, and professional ethics. These core values help young people succeed in the era of global integration. The exchange session was lively and offered students the chance to ask questions, participate in direct discussions, and access global leadership perspectives from a leading Indian scholar.
