Held from October 26 to 29 as part of the Autumn Economic Forum 2026, GRECO 2026 provides an opportunity for HUTECH to showcase research achievements in construction materials, manufacturing technology, food, and healthcare. The exhibits demonstrate creative approaches to practical challenges, emphasizing resource conservation, technological improvements, and a better quality of life.

In construction, “Flexible Multipurpose Interlocking Bricks” drew interest for their binder-free design. Granted Patent No. 56575, the invention allows components to interlock in two directions to form walls or formwork for columns and beams. The bricks can be disassembled and reused, offering a flexible construction solution that helps conserve resources and reduce construction waste.
Another sustainable materials project, “Luminescent Glass Bricks,” explores the use of waste glass combined with luminescent materials and hydrated cement granules. Tests showed that the bricks continued to emit visible light after eight hours. The project won third prize at the 2024 Euréka Student Scientific Research Awards, highlighting potential applications in pathways, gardens, and architectural decoration.

Another technology highlight was a 3D printer capable of turning digital designs into physical models. Rapid prototyping, combined with 3D simulation and virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) solutions, offers applications in engineering design, biomedical research, and STEM education, helping users test ideas before production.
Designed for everyday use, the ROSKY alkaline ionized water purifier is the result of collaboration between the Institute of Applied Sciences and New Life Company. The device was presented with a seven-cartridge filtration system, multiple water dispensing modes, a compact design, and an emphasis on energy efficiency for household use.
The display also featured food products, including cashew and oat ration bars, taro flour, and noodles made from plant-based ingredients, alongside personal care products. These exhibits offered varied perspectives on ingredient use, product development, and potential applications in the consumer market.
Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha emphasizes the role of green and digital transformation at the GRECO 2026 opening ceremony
Taking place on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, GRECO 2026 covers approximately 11,000 square meters and brings together nearly 70 organizations and businesses across around 190 booths. Speaking at the opening ceremony on October 26, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, emphasized that the city regards green and digital transformation as central priorities and new drivers of economic restructuring. In line with this direction, HUTECH’s participation creates opportunities to connect with businesses, bring research achievements closer to industry, and advance practical applications of scientific research.
