VJIT and Josai International University students engage in cultural exchange

On the morning of September 12, the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), hosted an exchange program with Josai International University (JIU), opening new opportunities for connection between students of the two institutions.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh emphasized: “Today’s program is organized to strengthen the partnership between HUTECH and Josai International University through cultural exchanges, student community activities, and academic collaboration.” He also expressed his hope that this event would lay the foundation for future student exchange programs, research cooperation, and academic sharing, bringing practical benefits to both sides.

In response, Ms. Kawano Yuka, representing JIU, expressed her sincere thanks to HUTECH and VJIT leadership for the warm welcome. She also introduced the dynamic learning environment, key academic disciplines, and vibrant student life at JIU.

During the program, JIU students introduced themselves and performed the traditional Bon Odori dance with graceful movements and cheerful melodies. HUTECH’s Keiko Arts Club also contributed special performances showcasing students’ talent and energy, along with traditional games that made the program more lively and engaging.

In the afternoon, JIU students visited several cultural landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City and participated in volunteer activities. This gave Japanese students the chance to learn more about Vietnam’s history, culture, and people, while also giving back to the community.

The exchange program was attended by Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh - Vice President of HUTECH, Ms. Dinh Hai Yen - Assistant to the University Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Director of VJIT, Mr. Nguyen Duy Thinh - Vice Director of VJIT, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam - Deputy Director of HUTECH Japanese Language Center. From JIU, Ms. Kawano Yuka joined along with JIU students.
