HUTECH welcomes international interns from CY Cergy Paris University and ECE Paris, France

In an effort to strengthen international collaboration and foster a multicultural academic environment, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) recently welcomed a group of international interns from CY Cergy Paris University and ECE Paris, France, for academic exchange, study, and research on May 4.
At the reception, the interns were introduced to an overview of the HUTECH Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation (AIDT), which focuses on interdisciplinary research areas such as artificial intelligence in healthcare, education, and data science. Topics including AI for Smart Healthcare Systems, applied research strategies, and emerging technology trends attracted strong interest from the international students.

The interns were introduced to the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation along with specialized topics on AI applications in smart healthcare
In particular, the sessions on AI applications in smart healthcare offered a multidimensional perspective on integrating medical data, deep learning, graph learning, and multimodal artificial intelligence in diagnosis and clinical decision support. This is also one of the University’s key research directions, aimed at developing solutions with high practical value.
In addition, the students learned about HUTECH’s research strategy, which focuses on developing AI solutions with meaningful social impact, emphasizing applicability, scalability, and real-world implementation. The integration of structured and unstructured data, along with explainable AI models, is considered a foundation for building transparent and trustworthy AI systems.

The exchange created a wide range of opportunities for international students, including participation in AI projects, co-authoring international research publications, access to real world data from hospitals and educational systems, and involvement in interdisciplinary initiatives.
