A meeting between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP, India) opened up discussions on academic programs, research collaboration, faculty and student exchange, and sustainable education initiatives, further strengthening HUTECH’s academic connections with educational institutions in India.
The meeting took place shortly after the two universities officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), providing a foundation for more in depth discussions on potential collaborative activities in the coming years.
The MGKVP delegation included eight professors from the Faculty of Social Work
During the meeting, both sides explored several promising areas of cooperation, including faculty and student exchange programs and enhanced research collaboration through the sharing of academic expertise and faculty research profiles. These initiatives are expected to expand the international academic environment at both institutions and provide faculty members and students with new perspectives in learning, teaching, and research.
The two universities discussed a range of potential areas for future collaboration
In addition, HUTECH and MGKVP expressed their interest in jointly organizing international conferences and academic seminars in the future. These scholarly platforms would provide faculty members, researchers, and students with opportunities to exchange expertise, share research outcomes, expand professional networks, and explore educational and social issues from diverse international perspectives.
One notable topic of discussion was the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into academic programs, research activities, and international cooperation initiatives. Both institutions view this as an important foundation for promoting social responsibility in higher education while fostering awareness of sustainable development among students through academic activities, research projects, and community engagement.
Beyond future cooperation plans, representatives from HUTECH and MGKVP also exchanged views on current challenges in student management and education. Through discussions on institutional experiences, student support models, and strategies for enhancing educational effectiveness, the meeting generated valuable insights into building a more comprehensive, sustainable, and student-centered learning environment.
The meeting contributes to expanding HUTECH’s academic, research, and international engagement activities in the years ahead
Representatives from HUTECH noted that the University has established and continues to develop partnerships with a number of universities across India. Building on this foundation, the relationship with MGKVP is expected to grow further through meaningful academic, research, and international exchange activities, enriching HUTECH’s network of global educational partners.
