Bringing international experiences closer to learners, connecting research with real-world applications, and expanding opportunities for industry engagement are shared priorities of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Galgotias University (India), laying the foundation for practical cooperation programs in the near future.
On August 13, HUTECH held a working session with Galgotias University, focusing on potential areas of cooperation including student and faculty exchange programs, joint research projects, stronger industry connections, and expanded employment opportunities for students. These areas of cooperation aim to leverage the respective strengths of the two universities in education and research while providing broader academic and practical experiences for their communities.
Representing the partner university at the meeting were Mr. Ujjwal Pratap, Chief Communications Officer, and Prof. Meenakshi Awasthi, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The student and faculty exchange programs are expected to foster academic exchange, professional knowledge sharing, and exposure to different educational environments. The two universities also expressed their interest in jointly implementing research projects, promoting applied research, and creating more opportunities for students to engage in academic activities and apply their disciplinary knowledge to real-world challenges.
Industry engagement, internships, and career opportunities were also among the key areas of focus. Galgotias University is located in a major industrial and logistics hub of the Delhi NCR region, near the Dadri Inland Container Depot. This strategic location offers potential for developing industry-oriented and applied research collaborations, particularly in technology, engineering, and logistics. Such cooperation would provide students with greater opportunities to gain exposure to real-world work environments and develop the competencies needed for their future careers.

The two sides discussed opportunities to connect education with research and industry practice
At the meeting, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, shared that the University has maintained cooperation with numerous universities and educational institutions in India. The connection with Galgotias University further reflects HUTECH’s efforts to expand its network of partners in South Asia, creating additional opportunities for students and faculty to pursue learning, research, and international experiences.
Dr. Ly Thien Trang expressed her hope that the partnership will create more opportunities for students and faculty to pursue learning, research, and international experiences
