HUTECH and University of Auckland (New Zealand) strengthen connections and expand transnational learning experiences

Building on their ongoing Bachelor of Computer Science partnership, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and the University of Auckland (UoA) continued discussions on ways to strengthen academic connections, expand international learning experiences, and better prepare students for their transition to New Zealand.
Representing UoA at the meeting was Ms. Jennifer Roshan, Regional Manager for Southeast Asia
One of the key areas of discussion was the student experience throughout the Bachelor of Computer Science program. Rather than connecting students with UoA only at the point of transfer, HUTECH and the University of Auckland aim to provide earlier access to learning resources, greater exposure to an international academic environment, and more opportunities to engage with UoA while students are still studying in Vietnam.

The two universities discussed future directions for academic collaboration and ways to strengthen connections between HUTECH students and UoA
Beyond the Bachelor of Computer Science program, the two universities also explored opportunities to expand their partnership into other academic disciplines, providing students with a broader range of international study options aligned with their interests and future goals.
Short-term study programs in New Zealand were also discussed as a potential area for further development. With flexible durations, these programs could give students the opportunity to experience an international education environment, explore new approaches to learning, and broaden their academic experience without committing to a long-term program.
The meeting further strengthened international connections and opened up more opportunities for students to study in New Zealand
In the coming period, UoA representatives are expected to continue visiting and engaging with HUTECH. Future discussions will focus on specific opportunities for collaboration in education and research, as well as expanding international learning opportunities for students.
