With the aim of expanding collaboration in education and research while advancing the development of engineering and technology disciplines, on August 26, the Department of International Relations and Project Management, in coordination with the HUTECH Institute of Engineering, welcomed 18 representatives from companies, research institutes, and technology organizations based in Chungcheongbuk do, South Korea.

During the meeting, HUTECH shared its educational directions in engineering and technology, the academic programs currently offered by the Institute of Engineering, as well as its laboratories and facilities for teaching, research, and hands on practice.

Representatives of the Korean organizations also presented several products, solutions, and technologies currently being researched, developed, and applied in the automotive and component manufacturing industries. Insights shared directly by industry representatives provided HUTECH with valuable updates on emerging technology trends and a better understanding of the technical workforce requirements of modern manufacturing processes.
Practical technology solutions open up further opportunities for university industry collaboration
Building on shared areas of expertise and development priorities, the participants focused their discussions on automotive technology, engineering, and manufacturing while identifying potential areas of collaboration between HUTECH and Korean companies.
The meeting lays the groundwork for the parties to gradually advance future collaboration
Key areas of interest include incorporating practical labor market requirements into teaching and research and expanding opportunities for students to gain exposure to technologies, manufacturing processes, and professional working environments. Moving forward, the parties will continue discussions and identify suitable areas to gradually develop into concrete collaborative activities.
