HUTECH ranked 289th in Asia and 66th in Southeast Asia and retained its sixth-place position in Vietnam in the QS Asia University Rankings 2027
On November 3, 2026, UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) officially released the QS Asia University Rankings 2027. HUTECH remained among Asia’s top 300 universities and held its sixth-place position among ranked Vietnamese institutions. It also climbed one spot in Southeast Asia compared with the 2026 edition.
This is the second consecutive year HUTECH has appeared in the QS Asia University Rankings. In its 2026 debut, the University placed 287th in Asia, 67th in Southeast Asia, and sixth in Vietnam. Two consecutive years in the rankings underscore HUTECH’s presence in the region’s higher education community and give the University further momentum to improve the quality of its academic programs, strengthen research, and expand international partnerships.
HUTECH remains among Asia’s top 300 universities in its second consecutive year in the QS Asia University Rankings
The QS Asia University Rankings assess higher education institutions across several areas, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research performance, faculty, and internationalization. QS draws on surveys of academics and employers as well as other sources of institutional data. By considering a range of indicators, the rankings offer students, partners, and the academic community another point of reference when exploring universities in the region.
The result marks a milestone in HUTECH’s efforts to strengthen its international academic engagement
For HUTECH, remaining among Asia’s top 300 universities marks another step in strengthening its international academic engagement. The QS criteria also provide specific benchmarks as the University reviews its academic programs, increases research publications, develops research networks, and promotes academic exchange. HUTECH can use the results to identify where further improvement is needed.
In addition to its performance in the QS Asia University Rankings, HUTECH has twice earned a four-star QS Stars rating. The University first received the rating in 2022 and retained it in its second assessment cycle under version 6.0 of the QS Stars framework. It earned five stars in several categories, including Facilities, Teaching, Employability, Good Governance, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. QS Stars uses a separate set of criteria and complements the university rankings by offering a closer look at specific areas of institutional performance.
The QS Asia University Rankings 2027 result is a source of pride for HUTECH’s faculty, staff, and students, including those in graduate programs. It gives the University further momentum to improve the quality of its education, build its research capacity, and deepen ties with the international academic community.
