HUTECH expands academic connections and cultural exchange with 4 Korean educational institutions

On August 12, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and representatives from 4 Korean educational institutions held a working session to discuss cooperation opportunities for students, focusing on short-term exchange programs, Korean language activities, and cultural exchange.
The delegation included representatives from Dongshin University, Chodang University, Mokpo National University, and Chunnam Science College. The meeting further strengthened ties between HUTECH and Korean institutions, laying the groundwork for programs aligned with both sides’ training strengths and development goals.

Representatives from 4 Korean institutions discuss cooperation directions
During the session, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, expressed her delight at the opportunity to establish new partnerships. She highly valued the approach of combining education with cultural experiences and career development for international students, noting that these are also priorities for HUTECH in expanding cooperation with foreign partners.

Building on this spirit, both sides discussed activities directly aimed at students, such as academic seminars, Korean speaking contests for Vietnamese and international students, short-term exchange programs, and Vietnam–Korea cultural exchange events. These proposals focus on expanding foreign language environments, increasing access to international academic activities, and creating more cultural experiences for learners.

The Korean representatives also introduced the Global Talent Hub, a center developed under Jeollanam-do’s RISE Project with funding from the Korean Government. This model links the 4 institutions and emphasizes improving educational quality and supporting international students, particularly in language proficiency, career skills, and adaptability to study and work environments in Korea.
The session lays the foundation for specific joint plans in the near future
At the end of the meeting, representatives from the 4 Korean institutions invited HUTECH to visit and continue discussions in the future. The topics covered will serve as a basis for building concrete cooperation programs, increasing opportunities for students to study, exchange, and gain international experiences.
