Under Resolution No. 45/NQ-HĐT dated August 5, 2026, HUTECH renamed the Institute of Applied Sciences as the Faculty of Aesthetics and Life Sciences. Pursuant to Decision No. 4408/QĐ-ĐKC dated August 6, 2026, the Faculty officially became an academic unit under the HUTECH School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
The changes to the Faculty’s name and organizational structure provide a foundation for it to further develop its academic expertise, enhance the effectiveness of academic management, and strengthen connections among fields related to health, quality of life, and the environment.
The Faculty continues to offer three academic programs: Aesthetic Technology, Biotechnology, and Food Technology. Teaching and learning activities are conducted at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, known as the Medical Campus, providing students with a learning environment that is more closely connected with the health sciences.

Building on the academic foundation developed over many years, the Faculty continues to leverage its strengths in applied education while advancing its research and practical training activities. Students have access to laboratories for microbiology, biotechnology, food technology, sensory analysis, and chemistry, as well as Aesthetic Technology practice facilities equipped with skin analysis systems, laser equipment, and a range of modern technologies.
Practical learning is further expanded through company visits and field trips to Ngoc Dung Beauty Center System, Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center, West Bibica Factory, Yakult Vietnam Factory, and other organizations. Through these experiences, students can directly observe operational processes, technologies, and the specific professional requirements of each field. Internship and career experience programs also enable students to gain practical experience and prepare for employment after graduation.

Students are also exposed to diverse professional perspectives through academic programs with experts and lecturers from the Open Cyber University of Korea (OCU, South Korea), Tongmyong University (South Korea), UCSI University (Malaysia), and other international institutions. Discussions cover trends in aesthetics, technology, and emerging applications in the life sciences, helping students stay up to date with new knowledge and developments in their fields.

Beyond their academic programs, Youth Union and Student Association activities, clubs, volunteering, cultural programs, and sports provide students with opportunities to connect with others, develop teamwork skills, strengthen their initiative, and foster a sense of community.

Sharing the Faculty’s direction for its new stage of development, Dr. Chu Thi Bich Phuong, Vice Dean in charge of the Faculty of Aesthetics and Life Sciences, emphasized: “The Faculty will continue to build on its strengths in applied education, strengthen connections between its academic disciplines, life sciences, and health, and further promote industry collaboration and research. Our goal is to create a practice-oriented learning environment that enables students to develop strong professional knowledge, master practical skills, and proactively adapt to advances in science and technology as well as the evolving demands of the labor market.”
