HUTECH signs MoU with Saigon College of Technology, expanding development opportunities for learners

On September 9, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Saigon College of Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on training, student recruitment, academic activities, and other areas, expanding learning and development opportunities for students.
At the meeting, HUTECH introduced its online education system, digital learning platform, and electronic learning materials, which cater to the need for flexible learning among working professionals and those seeking greater control over their personal schedules. The University offers a diverse range of programs across fields such as languages, psychology, communications, law, business, finance, information technology, logistics, construction, tourism, and hospitality. This diversity allows learners to select programs that align with their academic backgrounds and career aspirations.

The two institutions discussed future cooperation, with a focus on coordinating information dissemination, consultation, and student recruitment for HUTECH's Distance Learning Undergraduate Programs, providing additional options for learners seeking to advance their qualifications. The two institutions also plan to strengthen collaboration in training, career guidance, and the organization of academic and professional activities that address practical needs.
“This agreement opens up opportunities for deeper collaboration in training, academic activities, and scientific research. HUTECH looks forward to working with Saigon College of Technology to foster a supportive learning environment where students can develop the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required by the labor market,” emphasized Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice President of HUTECH.

Sharing this perspective, Ms. Trinh Quynh Le, Vice Rector of Saigon College of Technology, expressed her hope that the two institutions would establish a suitable and seamless learning pathway for students: “Connecting academic programs and resources will create more opportunities for learners to advance their qualifications, develop their professional expertise, and better prepare for their careers. This will also provide a foundation for both institutions to enhance the effectiveness of student recruitment and the quality of education.”

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, HUTECH and Saigon College of Technology will gradually translate the agreed areas of cooperation into concrete activities, leverage the strengths of each institution, and develop a pathway from college to university education. The partnership is expected to provide learners with more flexible learning options and support them in strengthening their professional competencies amid the ongoing evolution of digital education and the labor market.
