HUTECH lecturer expands international academic connections in the Philippines

From September 14 to 26, Mr. Tran Phuong Hai, Assistant Head of the Finance and Banking Program at the Faculty of Finance and Commerce, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), participated in the Faculty Cultural and Academic Exchange program at Mountain Province State University (MPSU), Philippines, engaging in a range of teaching, professional exchange, and academic collaboration activities.
During the program, Mr. Tran Phuong Hai participated in professional sessions with MPSU units, as well as discussions with the University's leadership and representatives of the local government. These activities provided an opportunity for the HUTECH lecturer to exchange experiences, gain insights into the educational environment in the Philippines, and strengthen connections with fellow academics.

The academic focus of the visit was highlighted through two sessions delivered by Mr. Tran Phuong Hai. In “Internationalization as a Pathway to Excellence,” he discussed the role of internationalization in higher education and the integration of global academic perspectives into curricula. His second session, “Money Matters: Smart Financial Decisions for Future Professionals,” focused on financial thinking, decision making skills, and cash flow management for students and young entrepreneurs. The sessions also provided a platform for faculty members and academics to exchange perspectives on teaching methods and ways to incorporate real world issues into education.

Beyond the academic activities, Mr. Tran Phuong Hai also took part in a series of local cultural and community engagement experiences in Mountain Province. HUTECH and partner universities sign MoUs to officially establish the BRIDGE Academic Consortium
Another significant outcome of the visit was the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between HUTECH and its partner universities, officially establishing the BRIDGE Academic Consortium. Bringing together 10 higher education institutions from the Philippines, India, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, the consortium creates a multilateral network for collaboration in education, scientific research, international publications, and short term faculty and student exchange programs.
