As part of the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program for the 2026-2027 academic year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed Prof. Albert Ritzhaupt from the University of Florida (United States) to work, teach, and conduct research at the University, creating further opportunities for academic collaboration, faculty development, and international learning experiences for students.

Prof. Albert Ritzhaupt is an expert in Educational Technology and Computer Science Education. According to the program schedule, he will be based at HUTECH from September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, with academic activities taking place at Sai Gon Campus and Thu Duc Campus.

During his first days at HUTECH, Prof. Albert Ritzhaupt joined a campus tour to explore the University’s classrooms, laboratories, research facilities, library, and student amenities. The tour provided him with a closer look at HUTECH’s learning environment, facilities, and strategic directions in digital transformation and international integration, while also offering an initial opportunity to connect with staff, faculty members, and students.
The program will focus primarily on teaching, research, and professional capacity development. At the Institute of International Education, Prof. Albert Ritzhaupt is expected to teach Software Engineering and Database Analysis Management. In parallel, he will collaborate with the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation on research, academic exchange, and international publications.

Another key component of the program is a series of training activities for faculty members on the application of artificial intelligence in teaching and research. Drawing on his expertise in Educational Technology, Prof. Albert Ritzhaupt is expected to provide additional professional perspectives, support faculty members in exploring new approaches, and strengthen their research capacity in the context of digital transformation in education.
