With a shared interest in workforce development and community healthcare solutions, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Hoseo University, South Korea, discussed potential areas of cooperation in education and research during a meeting on October 20.
The two institutions explored the possibility of establishing healthcare workforce training centers and developing early childhood teacher education programs in collaboration with the Royal School bilingual international school system. These proposals were considered in light of workforce needs and the expertise of each institution.

Healthcare for older adults and children was a key focus of the meeting. The universities also considered how these initiatives could align with HUTECH’s hospital development plans to identify suitable opportunities for collaboration.

HUTECH and Hoseo University plan to prepare a joint healthcare research proposal for submission in April 2027. The institutions also proposed holding annual health conferences to share knowledge and experience and encourage professional exchange.

The discussions open up further opportunities for research collaboration, learning, and professional development between the two universities
The two institutions will continue discussing these proposals to identify appropriate ways to move forward. Other areas of mutual interest include student exchange programs, postgraduate study opportunities, teaching activities, and master’s and doctoral scholarships for HUTECH faculty and staff.
