More learning opportunities in Korea for HUTECH students through cooperation with Yeungnam University

From the foundation of cooperation built over many years, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Yeungnam University (Korea) continued discussions on July 14 to expand student exchange programs, strengthen research connections, and enhance international academic activities in the future.

The meeting marked an important step forward in the partnership established in 2017 through agreements on training and research. In 2023, during a working trip to Korea, HUTECH signed a Memorandum of Academic Agreement (MoA) with Yeungnam University. This agreement provided a stronger foundation for student exchange programs to gradually take shape, while also expanding opportunities for collaboration in training, research, and academic exchange.
At the meeting, representatives from both institutions shared their development strategies for the next phase. The partner also highly valued HUTECH’s progress in internationalization and improving training quality.

Yeungnam University representatives highlighted the potential for cooperation in training and academic exchange
The focus of the discussion was on expanding cooperation in a sustainable way that directly benefits students. Both universities agreed to prioritize developing student programs, strengthening connections among faculty, and creating conditions for academic activities to be carried out more regularly in the future.
One key topic was the plan to establish short-term exchange programs for HUTECH students at Yeungnam University. This model is expected to help young learners access modern teaching methods, experience the educational environment in Korea, and broaden their understanding of international culture. It also offers opportunities to build adaptability, global thinking, and confidence in multicultural learning environments.

Both universities agreed to expand cooperation, prioritize student exchange programs, connect faculty, and strengthen academic activities
In addition, the two institutions aim to jointly organize scientific conferences, develop research networks among faculty, and seek international projects in areas where they share strengths.
The meeting opened up many expectations for practical international cooperation programs
At the conclusion of the meeting, the partner expressed the desire to welcome HUTECH delegations to visit and work at Yeungnam University in the near future. Building on the foundation established over many years, HUTECH and Yeungnam University will continue to promote cooperation programs, contributing to enriching the international learning experience for students and faculty.
