From applying AI in lesson design to exchanging experiences with the global community of Korean language educators, the working trip of Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu, Dean of the Faculty of Korean Studies at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), to Seoul and Jeju opened up new ideas for training activities, academic connections, and the development of the KF Global e-School program at the university.
The trip took place from July 12 to 17. As part of the program, Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu joined a series of professional activities in Seoul and Jeju with 30 lecturers from 18 countries who are directly implementing KF Global e-School at partner universities. This was an opportunity for her to exchange teaching experiences, update new educational trends, and expand connections with the international community of Korean language lecturers.

On July 13, she attended the 2026 World Korean Language Educators Training, an event that brought together about 550 Korean language educators from many countries. At the event, lecturers shared classroom organization methods, introduced effective training models, and discussed current challenges in Korean language teaching worldwide.
A highlight of the program was a workshop on applying AI in Korean language teaching. The session focused on how to use technology to design lessons, create learning materials, and enhance interaction with learners. This gave lecturers new perspectives on selecting and applying AI with proper pedagogical goals, tailored to the specific nature of language teaching in the digital transformation era.

The highlight of the trip was Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu’s presentation during the session showcasing exemplary KF Global e-School models. Drawing from HUTECH’s experience, her presentation clarified how international courses are integrated into the curriculum, enabling students to access knowledge, language, and Korean culture directly from native lecturers. At the same time, learners strengthen their skills through assignments, projects, and academic exchange activities, thereby improving their ability to use Korean in an international learning environment.
During the working sessions in Jeju, the group of lecturers visited the headquarters of the Korea Foundation (KF) and discussed the implementation of KF Global e-School. These discussions helped strengthen connections among partner universities and opened new directions for academic collaboration, resource sharing, and teaching development in the future.
