HUTECH signs MoU with Myitkyina University, strengthening Vietnam–Myanmar academic ties

On July 27, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed a delegation from Myitkyina University (Myanmar) for a working visit and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to develop joint programs and continue the relationship established during HUTECH’s earlier visit to Myanmar.

Representing Myitkyina University at the meeting was Prof. Dr. Soe Moe Lwin, Acting Rector and former Deputy Director General of the Department of Education Research, Planning, and Training under Myanmar’s Ministry of Education, along with faculty members
During the meeting, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, welcomed the delegation and emphasized that the MoU would serve as a foundation for concrete cooperation. Discussions focused on academic programs, specialized seminars, short-term teaching, scientific research, and expanding educational partnerships.

Myitkyina University extended an invitation to HUTECH to participate in an upcoming international conference in Myanmar. This event will provide an opportunity to share experiences, strengthen connections with regional institutions, and introduce HUTECH’s academic programs and international learning environment to Myanmar students.
Several directions for developing internship programs for students were also discussed
Both sides explored the possibility of expanding ties with other educational institutions in Myanmar. This cooperation will help bring HUTECH closer to local learners, while creating opportunities for faculty and student exchanges and joint research projects.

Myitkyina University delegation toured HUTECH's facilities
As part of the visit, the Myitkyina University delegation toured classrooms, laboratories, and learning spaces at HUTECH’s Training Center (Campus E) and HUTECH Institute of Hi-Technology (Campus R). The modern facilities and training environment provided a clear perspective on the conditions available for international students to study and conduct research.
